Caribbean Entrepreneur-Me
How has your week been so far? π€
Well I had a moment yesterday – a time quiet reflection on my life’s journey and career, and it can be summed up in one word ‘faith’.
2 Corinthians 5:7KJV – “For we walk by faith not by sight.”
The holy bible is a major big guide/influence for me on my life’s journey but moreso my entrepreneurial walk. For better or worse I’ve taken chances, won some and lost my share of risks. Giving up at times when things were really bad was never an option, though it hurt like hell to keep pressing forward. I see the glory, the end of the rainbow in my vision of my success. Along the way, my values, beliefs and even some character traits have shifted – this is what happens when you step out of the norm, safe zone, and into your ‘capacity realm’. ππ¦πββοΈπ§ββοΈπ‘
Time, has a way of bringing all experiences into the open when needed. You need the challenges, hard situations and gut wrenching moments to refine decision-making skills. ππββοΈπ€ΈββοΈππ£π€
Business school and courses can only give you a reference point- because what you do when faced with adversity is almost never text book perfect. We are human. We make bad decisions. We fall. We fail. However, we get up, stand up, and keep moving in faith. π ββοΈπββοΈπ§ββοΈπͺ
Career moves that defy logic, embrace faith. Outcomes are always a best guess, because everything can go down in a flash. Your only option is to keep moving in faith, because that is a big win for you every time a setback moves you from your seat.π’π²π
Entrepreneurship is a walk in faith – you start without the certainty that things will go as planned; but that burning desire; that passion for more ignites a flame, which is quenched by going into business, and taking a chance believing in yourself and your dreams.π΅οΈββοΈπΆββοΈπ―

I guess it is about taking that leap in the unknown … hoping for the best, and being prepared for the worst.
