Decision Day

My Choices

We make our decisions. The information we have on that decision day helps to push through our choices. Even when external influences are persuasive, we have the final say, to accept or reject. The excuse of “someone made me do it” or “I did it because he/she said I should do it” is based on the authority or the position of others in our life.

The importance of mentors / coaches and leaders in business affect all areas of those seeking influence. Yes, folks do seek influence as they grow older, because there is a need for validation and support in decision -making.

For consumers, marketers understand that influencers have significant impact on outcomes, and have used this power to sway decisions in their direction. This is a bold and valuable move, as persons can be drawn to superficial relationships and behaviors based on social media visibility. Social media is an influencer – either negative or positive – based on the outcome one desires!

As entrepreneurs and people in business, we are also influenced based on decisions of others – but one man’s outcome can be another’s folly; and one person’s push can lead to another’s success. Deciding who to follow and what we allow to take root in our lives- affects our decisions, as the subtle actions can form the basis of our agreement to proceed in a particular direction.

The responsibility of filtering what we hear, accept, and our ultimate response resides with us. You can choose what to delete and what to store. Its always your decision on decision day – own it!
