There are times when what appears to be a battle comes into our line of sight.
Should we fight, is it our battle, and is the reason even worth fighting for? In the past I would champion a cause, or the cause of others who appeared to be disenfranchised in some way. Always wanting to save the day – not for glory, but for someone to win, and enjoy the benefits of winning. I dislike wars, and physical battles, but when it comes to words, I’m ready – maybe too ready at times. Experiences now, remind me that listening can be the strongest weapon to stop a fight, and the sharpest sword to resolving conflict. Kindness though is the hidden weapon, hardly ever used, and much needed in most situations. If we can be kind, we deliver a blow that can shatter and build at the same time. Just try it!
