January 6 – Step up and into your best brand

Six days into January 2021, what is your focus? My brand is upfront and central, a work in progress that needs to be shared to survive and grow. Step up and into your best brand!

The lessons from last year and life carry positive messages as well as learning experiences. The pandemic, coronavirus Covid_19 is still here, it ‘not leaving’ anytime soon, and neither should your brand, company and service.

Last year a question was raised about what is the biggest obstacle to taking action, after an illuminating Digicel MasterClass session – my response was- MYSELF.

Stepping up is moving from being the obstacle that holds you back to the catalyst that spurs you on. You are the driver of your very own motorcycle, car, jet, spaceship self. How far you intend to go, depends on how much you choose to know, and all that you choose to let go! You can only travel so far with ‘so much weight’. Leave the things that held you back last year, and only carry the things that are light, positive and add value to the journey you are on. Don’t get thrown off your vessel because you carry too much load!

Developing your brand is not about looking pretty or staging the perfect presence (though it is critical to be seen and noticed), its about being ready to build with presence!

Build your authentic brand, apply consistency in whatever you set out to do.

Build your reputation for delivering on your promises and be willing to be held accountable when things go wrong.

Take ownership when the ‘shit hits the fan’, and own successes and failures, they are experiences of growth and development.

Be professional in how you offer yourself, products and services.

Take risks with courage and bravery!
